About Us

Aerku began as a project for Jerich’s engineering class during his freshman year of high school in 2018. An avid speedcuber himself, he was interested in creating his own speedcube for use in competition. With a 3D printer he received as a gift on Christmas, hundreds of hours of learning, research, trial and error, Jerich finally came up with his first prototype: the JavCube (See the evolution of the Aerku Mark l here). It was in this cube in which Jerich had first implemented the patent pending MIR (Magnetic Inner Radius) design. Read more about MIR here. After a few months of improvements and adjustments to the design, more 3D printers were purchased for larger scale production. Aerku was born.
